1. What are the different wallet holding limits of a basic and premium account?

A basic, unverified account will have a wallet holding limit of RM2,999 whereas a premium account that is verified through our e-KYC process will have a wallet holding limit of RM9,999. ShopeePay users who are verified through our standard KYC process prior to 13 November 2024 and have not completed the new e-KYC process will retain a wallet holding limit of RM4,999.

⚠️ Note: 

• Starting 24 February 2025, new users who verify their ShopeePay account will only be granted access to the premium account.

2. What can I do to increase my wallet limit?

To increase your wallet limit to RM9,999, please ensure that you have verified your identity through our e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) process. 

You may follow these steps to verify your identity:

Step 1: Go to the ShopeePay homepage. A banner will be displayed asking you to perform the identity verification via e-KYC to get a higher wallet limit

Step 2: Click on the banner and this will lead you to the e-KYC flow
